About ProxyLab
Free online proxy checker and format converter. No signup. Built as a no-bullshit tool for people who work with proxies daily — scrapers, marketers, developers, and ordinary users.
What ProxyLab does
ProxyLab is a web app for testing proxy servers. We don't sell proxies, don't charge subscriptions, and don't collect user data. The service does three things:
- Tests connectivity for HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 proxies — with auto-detection of protocol type.
- Pulls metadata: country, city, ISP, ASN, network type (Datacenter / Residential / Mobile), anonymity level (Elite / Anonymous / Transparent), Static/Rotating IP behavior.
- Converts formats: eight common proxy formats including
tg://socksfor Telegram.
How the check works
For each check we make a test HTTP request through the proxy to independent geo-IP APIs (ip-api.com, ipapi.is) and analyze the response headers. The mismatch between forwarded headers and the actual outgoing IP determines anonymity level. Multiple sequential probes detect IP rotation. Network type (Datacenter/Residential/Mobile) is determined by ASN against a database of known hosting providers.
All checks run in parallel — up to 30 concurrent connections per session. One proxy takes 5–10 seconds.
What we don't do
- We don't store your proxies on disk. Submitted lists are processed in memory and erased after the session.
- We don't require signup. No accounts, auth cookies, or verification.
- We don't share data with third parties. The service runs anonymously.
- We don't use third-party trackers like Google Analytics, Yandex Metrika, or Facebook Pixel.
If you create a "Share" link to a result, it's stored 24 hours in the server's RAM and automatically deleted afterward. Details — see the privacy policy.
Why it's free
ProxyLab is an independent project — a public tool built for anyone who works with proxies. The checker shows no ads, has no paid tiers, and isn't tied to any proxy store. Paid plans aren't on the roadmap — limits are bounded only by server hardware.
Tech stack
Backend — FastAPI on Python with async aiohttp for parallel checks. Frontend — static HTML/CSS/JS, no frameworks, no trackers. Hosting — VDS in Germany. Open-source release isn't out yet but planned.
